If you are due to be wed to your partner in the not too distant future, you may be thinking about the perfect honeymoon location to begin married life together. We think that Turks & Caicos should definitely be on your list of places to consider, as to us it is just the perfect honeymoon destination.
Turks & Caicos Honeymoon: 5 Reasons for Paradise
Need convincing? Let’s run through our top five reasons why we believe this to be true, to help you with your decision.
The Beaches
First and foremost we have to mention that Providenciales is home to one of the best beaches in the whole world, as voted for by visitors in the Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice Awards (it even held the top spot in 2016!)
You will likely be a little awestruck the first time you experience this incredible beach and sink your toes into the powdery white sand while trying to count the different shades of blue and green reflected in the crystal clear waters from the skies above.
We can think of no better way to relax with your new husband or bride than laying on this perfect beach together, soaking up the sun and letting the stresses of wedding planning melt away!
The Weather
The weather is another thing about the islands that is absolutely ideal for a honeymoon, staying warm and comfortable year round, with a trade wind that keeps things from getting too hot.
The hurricane season runs from June to November, so the best time to visit is usually winter or early spring, which would be perfect for a Christmas wedding, or tying the knot in a spring ceremony and then jetting off to relax on the beach!
There’s something even more enjoyable about a honeymoon when you are escaping the cold weather back home, so Turks and Caicos is the perfect place to go for.
The Food
Turks and Caicos is something of a foodie paradise, with both Caribbean food and cuisine from other parts of the world available.
There are a number of fine dining options on the islands such as Kitchen 218 in Provo which serves up locally caught seafood, and high-quality meats as well as entrees and their signature sticky toffee pudding in a tranquil and chic environment.
For something a bit more laid back you can head to the renowned beach bar Da Conch Shack, which serves up the conch that is farmed in Provo as well as other locally caught fish such as snapper and lobster, and jerk chicken.
The bar is as well-loved for its party atmosphere and fantastic music as it is the food and drinks!
The Resorts
You can enjoy spacious accommodation right on Grace Bay Beach at the Alexandra Resort, which offers a great honeymoon package and is perfect for those couples looking to relax and unwind, or even enjoy some of the more active pursuits in the area as it is in a conveniently central location.
Blue Haven Resort also offers five and seven night honeymoon packages with the peace and quiet of a private beach and even an adjacent marina! We hope that this has given you a little bit of an insight into what Turks and Caicos has to offer for the honeymoon of a lifetime!
