Opt for a regular wash cycle instead of a gentle or short cycle; this enables towels to spend more time in detergent solution.
If you want the best results, go for a heavy detergent with enough enzymes to help dismantle stains and soil so they can be washed away. Using a heavy-duty detergent eliminates the need for pretreating stains.
