1. Charminar

Charminar: As far as landmarks go, Charminar is the most significant in Hyderabad city. It’s significance to the city can be likened to that of the Eiffel Tower for Paris. The man behind the erection of this building is the founder of Hyderabad by name Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in the year 1591. It is widely believed that it was built to mark the end of an epidemic that befell them then. The building consists of four towers, 50ft tall with minarets atop each. It has 45 spaces for prayers and a mosque. It is an architectural masterpiece with great historical significance. Charminar is more beautiful at night.
2. Golconda Fort

Golconda Fort: The fort an integral part of part of Hyderabad’s history. The name translates to the Shepherd’s Hill. The fort was once the capital of the ancient sultanate of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. The fort was notable for producing diamonds and some of the world’s most famous gems like the Koh-i-Noor, Nassak Diamond were mined there. What remains of the fort are ruins as it has stood the test of time but remains a remarkable tourist attraction
3. Mecca Masjid

Mecca Masjid: One of the oldest and largest mosques in India, it’s big enough to contain over 10,000 worshippers. The construction started in 1672 by the founding father of the city. The bricks used for this mosque is rumored to have been brought from Mecca, hence the name.
4. Ramoji Film City

Ramoji Film City: This film city draws millions of tourists yearly due to its uniqueness and it being the grandest in the world for which it holds Guinness world record for. It occupies 2000 acres of land. Inside you find parks and restaurants, experience tours and live shows.
5. Snow World

Snow World: The new snow-themed park in the whole of India and the biggest in the world. A whopping INR 20 million was spent constructing the park, was opened in 2004. A perfect spot for relaxation.
6. Qutb Shahi Tombs

Qutb Shahi Tombs: this is the tomb where the Qutub Shahi dynasty kings are laid to rest. It’s said to be one of the oldest monuments in Hyderabad. The monument is located near the Golkonda Fort. The tomb is a site to behold as far as history goes in Hyderabad.
7. Hussain Sagar Lake

Hussain Sagar Lake: The lake gives you two experiences in one. You will see one of the largest human-made lakes in India and the enormous Buddha statue (18m high). It’s a perfect getaway for visitors especially in the evening time when it is calm.
8. Salar Jung Museum

Salar Jung Museum: One of three Indian national museums. The man who the museum was named after had a massive accumulation of antiques of different varieties across many countries. It is colossal, housing 39 galleries. Perfect place to get acquainted with history.
9. Nehru Zoological Park

Nehru Zoological Park: Animal lovers will cherish the chance to see about 1500 species of various animals. The zoo is named after Jawaharlal Pandit Nehru and opened in 1963.
10. Chowmahalla Palace

Chowmahalla Palace: This is where the Nizams lived during their reign. Presently the palace belongs the heir of the Nizams, Barkat Ali Khan Mukarram Jah. The castle is over 200 years old. Asides the great architectural design, ancient artifacts and vintage cars are also on display inside the palace for visitors delight.
